No Spam Policy
OpUrl.us reserves the right to suspend or terminate any members account and withhold all referral fees due if we find any kind of unsolicited e-mail containing ANY reference to any product or service created by OpUrl.us, our Web sites, or any connection that leads the recipient of said mail to our Web sites. These practices will NOT be tolerated.
Commercial advertisements are unwelcome in most Usenet discussion groups and on most mailing lists. Inappropriate posting may result in account suspension or cancellation. See the newsgroup or mailing list's charter for whether advertising is allowed or not. "Spamming," or sending a message to many different off-topic newsgroups, is particularly unethical and will be treated as such.
Sending a message to a group, especially an advertisement, is considered spamming unless the individuals have specifically requested to be added to a mailing list on that topic.
If you received spam, please note that OpURL.us did not send this spam and we do not operate any email lists. We can not remove you from spammer's database as we have no association with spammers, but instead we recommend you use spam filtering software.
Using the OpURL.us service for spamming or illegal purposes is forbidden and any such use will result in the url being disabled and you will be reported to all ISPs involved and to the proper governmental agencies. We hate spam. Short urls created using our sites that are used in any form of spam will be disabled.
Reporting a Spam Email
When reporting spam email, you will need to have the full header of the email you received. Most email programs have a method of acquiring this information. For example, if you use Microsoft Outlook, here are the steps you need to take:
1. Left click the email in question and click on 'Properties'.
2. Click the 'Details' tab, and then 'Message Source' - this will make the full header of the email available for viewing.
3. Copy and paste this into the body of the email you send for reporting spam.
4. Email the information to us at abuse@opurl.us with subject line of "SPAM EMAIL"
All reported SPAM EMAIL will be taken seriously which will result to link suspension or worst account termination.
